The study of rudiments theory is essential to becoming a better pianist and mastering repertoire.
There are 3 levels of Rudiments theory (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced) offered as credits from the Royal Conservatory of Music. This is particularly important for high-school music students who are intending to attend a music program in university. Most programs give preference to applicants who have attained Advanced Rudiments. I offer lessons for students which will prepare them to write exams in December and May.
The first block of lessons will run from September to December, and a second block from January to May. You will have opportunity to do practice exams which are actual exams issued by RCM, and a mock exam. Students will receive a theory study book, and an accompanying exam package (containing 4 practice exams).
Financial assistance is available to qualifying families through Creative Kids www.creativekidssask.ca
